All About Relationship Coaching Services

One of the hardest things to do in life would be to maintain relationships because all people are very different from each other and it is inevitable that there will be some fights at times. Now no matter what relationship it may be whether it may be a marriage disagreement or a family feud, effort has to be put in to make it work. It is during this kind of situation that one may utilize relationship coaching services.

Now many people would just ignore the problems that they would have with other people thinking that it is not important. What they do not know is that if these relationships are strained and nothing is done, it will affect both parties negatively. Now it is the job of the coaches to come up with effective strategies that will help clients.

Now there are only three things that the coach will be suggesting to the clients based on how the coach has evaluated them. Now these choices are amend the relationship, just let it go, or just simply create another one. Of course just like any counselling session, the first thing that coaches would do would be to have a word with the client.

Of course the coach cannot only look at one side of the coin as there are other people who are involved in the case. So aside from talking to the client directly, it is important that the coaches talk to the other affected parties along with the client. So for example, if the client has a problem with the wife, the client has to bring the wife.

Now it is very important to talk to them individually first so that the coach can get a good assessment of both of the sides. After talking to them individually, then the next thing to do would be to talk to both of them together. However, he has to make sure that they are in a very quiet environment so that there will not be any fights.

After he has done this, then the next part would be the implementing of activities. Of course one would be very familiar with the very famous open forum strategy. This activity is wherein there will be a mediator who will have both parties talk one at a time for a certain number of minutes just to let everything out.

Another one would be the positive reinforcement exercise wherein one would write down a list of good things about the person. From there, they will then talk to each other about this list. After that, they will then write down the bad things about each other and they will talk about it.

Of course there will be times wherein the parties just cannot reconcile anymore but do not want to terminate each other. Now in this type of situation, the coach will just suggest that they give each other a lot of space. That way, they can still visit each other but not have to make each other angry all of the time.

Important Aspects Of Effective Workplace Communication Training

Effective communication in an organization is crucial. For once, it affects productivity at work and could also determine brand popularity where customers are involved. In this case, any modern business should seek to invest in workplace communication training to help improve the level of interaction among workers or between employees and clients. Besides, there is need for clear guidelines on how information is handled within the organization.

The key is to make sure information lands to the right professional. One of the basic points about communication in the workplace is email etiquette. Many organizations create work email addresses for their employees to allow smooth flow of information that affects their daily duties. Unfortunately, not all companies train their employees on the right ways to use such a communication tool. As a result, many end up misusing their work email accounts and can risk credibility as well as information security of their organization. This makes it necessary for any organization to train their staff on the right ways to use such a tool.

When writing emails to fellow staff, employees must do so professionally. The language used must be modest and simple to understand. The subject must be clear and relevant to the role of the recipient. This way, the addressee will be able to respond to the request effectively. Emails that are not clear act as a distraction to the recipients and have direct impact on their productivity.

It is also polite for employees to include full official contact details and company logo in their signature. This enables to recipient contact the sender easily in case clarification is required. It also gives the company an opportunity to reinforce its brand especially where sending emails to external parties is involved.

For companies that issue press statements or any other form of external messages, there should be a specific person doing it. Companies could come up with a corporate affairs department to take care of such tasks. This helps in maintaining the company image. It is not appropriate to have just anyone speaking on behalf of the company. This actually could create confusion and there may end up with misguiding information even among staff members.

Another important tool in the office is the telephone. This could also be misused if employees are not trained properly. Some do not practise telephone etiquette, while others leave their unattended to. This is wrong. With the current growth in technology, one can always set their work telephones to leave appropriate instructions for those calling when the recipient is not near the phone. Such will also record details of callers and the owner can call back for follow-up. This is better than acting like you just ignored the call.

This kind of attitude is irresponsible and not befitting modern time professionalism. It is important for every company to create a responsive culture at the workplace. Telephones should be attended to after the second ring. With advancement in digital technology, it is possible to track missed calls on a telephone handset. This way, staff members can return missed calls and assist the callers appropriately. If a call is misdirected, it is also polite to transfer it to the right person first time. This helps resolve queries with minimum handshakes as possible.

During work, face to face interactions should be maintained at professional standards. Every employer ought to use respectful language when addressing their colleagues. There should be a comprehensive employee code of conduct given to new workers. They should understand implications of not adhering to such as part of their contract with the organization.

Stress Management Tips-What You Can Do

Stress Management Tips-What You Can Do

Article by Glen Williams

While there’s plenty of material for an article on physical stress, we’re going to look at psychological stress and what you can do to manage it.  Most of us go through life as emotional victims of the people and circumstances surrounding us.  We put out one fire, turn around and see two more, making us feel powerless over the events of life.  In this article, we’ll unearth amazingly simple tips to manage the stress of your job, decisions, money and events…what you can do to regain control.

Stress Is Being Out Of Control:  Other definitions work for different types of stress, but psychological stress is all about control…the lack of it.  The less control you feel you have over life’s circumstances, the more stressed you are.  Some respond to these stresses by breaking down…even so far as to go into a depression anxiety state of existence, where it often requires medication just to face the day.  In most cases, this extreme is not necessary if we just change how we approach life.  Sound simple?  It is…it’s just not fast and easy to make the change!  So, lets look at some stressful areas of life to get examples of what we’re after.

Stress Management And The Job:  This has always been the big one for me…job stress (or job search stress).  This is the out-of-control feeling we have because someone else controls our income.  They say what to do, when, how, who with…everything.  We’re completely out of control, right?  Wrong!  We have great power over our careers if we will just exercise it.  We choose what we do, who we work for, who with, and when.  We do so by choosing an education, career and employer.  If there is ever anything we feel is unreasonable or inappropriate about the demands placed on us, we choose whether to stay and accept those demands, or to leave.  I’ve left several jobs and careers, and finally decided the only way I was going to be happy and in control was to work for myself.  You’re witnessing the outcome of that decision right now.

Many of us, when searching for employment, set limitations that decrease our choices of career and employer.  Then we’re stressed about the four or five interviews we have in a year, because “We really need this job.”  What if your options were wide open?  What if you applied for everything you could do and were able to choose between employers, rather than waiting for one to choose you?  In career counseling, I tell people, “If you don’t have a job, make finding a job your full-time job.”  An average person with a high school diploma and 10 years of experience ought to be able to find out about 20 jobs a week and apply for 10 of them.  In an average economy, there’s no reason for anyone to be out of work for more than 3 months if they do that.  Why?  Because you put in 120 applications in 3 months.  That completely eliminates job search stress, because you’re not counting on any one of the employers…you’re in control.

Stress Management And Decisions:  The most stressful state to live in is the state of indecision.  We worry about this outcome and worry about that outcome, so we don’t do anything that produces an outcome…then we worry about that.  You want to take the stress out of decisions?  Pick a direction and start running!  If it turns out wrong, you’ll find out faster.  Then just pick another direction and run.  We can’t wait until all the lights are green before we pull out of the garage.  The stress is unbearable when you haven’t decided, so decide!

Stress Management And Money:  Oh boy, one of the most stressful things in life, yet, it is totally within our control.  So, why are we stressed by it?  Because we refuse to exercise our control.  Money is probably the largest source of self-induced stress.  I recently heard of someone making in excess of $ 250k per year who lost their house due to debt.  Here’s a stress management tip:  It isn’t income…it’s outgo!  Control that, and you’ve removed the stress out of money.

Stress Management And Current Events:  This is my big challenge, especially in election years.  I find myself yelling at the TV and radio.  Things look like they’re not going my way and I start worrying about all kinds of things.  I’ll share this stress management tip that I use several months a year, and I’m about to use again…Turn it off!  Listen to soft music and read a good book with a happy ending.  The news companies make money based on how bad they can make things seem.  It is not keeping up with current events…it’s keeping them on top of you.  When we’re suffering from stress, we can’t afford to have that stuff playing in our minds.

Do What You Can Do:  All of the above areas, in fact, all areas of stress in life, have one thing in common…one tip.  If we concentrate on this one thing, most of our stress will just melt away into nothingness.  The one thing we can do to eliminate stress in any are of life is…do what you can do.  All we have to do is what we can.  When we focus all of our efforts and energies on what we can do, what we can’t do loses all it’s power over us.  The stress is gone, and in it’s place is steady progress towards satisfaction, fulfillment and peace.  So, do what you can do and let what you can’t do take care of itself…that’s stress management.

Ways To Reduce Stress During Pregnancy

Ways To Reduce Stress During Pregnancy

Article by Peter hutch

As a psychologist friend of mine once told me if you don’t feel stress in your life you’re not paying attention. Everyone experiences stress, even pregnant women. What is not clear, however, is whether stress can have harmful affects on pregnancy.

High levels of stress may pose special risks during pregnancy. Pregnancy presents a unique set of circumstances that can mean joy and bliss in some, but overwhelming anxiety and stress in others. The physical effects of pregnancy (such as hormone-related mood swings, nausea, fatigue, frequent urination, swelling and backache) can be stressful. In addition, many have emotional stress due to concerns about the baby’s health and parenting responsibilities. Minimize your exposure to worrisome issues and you’ll minimize your stress. Sometimes, too much information about pregnancy complications and problems can cause unnecessary stress. If your pregnancy is proceeding along normally without any complications, reading about these possible problems can make you stressed for no real reason.

Maternal stress during pregnancy is also found to cause of asymmetry in coordination of ears, fingers, feet, elbows, etc. Stress doesn’t have to be bad especially when you take care to manage the stress you experience during your pregnancy. Eat a healthy, well balanced diet. Eating well will provide you the energy you need to get through the day, especially when you feel tired or overworked. Exercise has huge stress reducing qualities. Walking is another activity you can do in order to keep fit and reduce stress.

A good relaxation CD will not only prove useful to alleviate stress during pregnancy and make you feel better, but can also be very beneficial in preparing you to relax your mind and your muscles during labour and birth.

meditation can help to reduce stress, relieve pain, lower both your blood pressure and your heart rate, and improve the quality of your sleep. When you’re ready to meditate, simply find a comfortable, distraction-free place to sit; set a timer for five minutes (you’ll gradually want to work up to 20 minutes); place your hands on your belly; close your eyes; and focus on the sound of your breathing until the timer goes off.

Talk to others about your emotions and how you’re feeling. You can talk to your partner, family, friends or your own doctor. Communication with others and knowing that you have people who are on your side willing to help can go a long way in reducing stress while you’re pregnant.

Be prepared to give up some control over the life-style you have worked so hard to attain. Many things about pregnancy are not in your control. You may experience severe morning sickness. You may have overwhelming fatigue. You may develop a pregnancy complication requiring hospitalization or home bed rest.

Go for a massage. Not only does having a massage help to relieve backaches, leg cramps, headaches, and other pregnancy-related aches and pains: it also soothes and relaxes the nervous system by releasing endorphins into your body. Just make sure the person doing your massage has been trained in prenatal massage.

Stress Releas and Stress Management Through Self-Hypnosis

Stress Releas and Stress Management Through Self-Hypnosis

Article by Peter James Field

Stress is the catch-all name we use when we find ourselves under too much pressure

It is such a far reaching condition that its effects are thought to be felt in practically every kind of illness, every kind of disease.

Yet so few of us really have an effective stress management strategy in place in order to bring about the essential stress relief that we need.

A certain amount of stress, of course, can be beneficial. In small to moderate amounts, it really doesn’t hurt and, indeed, may be necessary in order to motivate us into getting things done and prodding us into performing at our very best.

But when stress takes on too much of a driving, overpowering role, it can exact a real toll and have truly damaging effects on both our mental and physical health.

Such, unfortunately, is the case in many industrialised countries such as the UK, the US, Canada and Australia today, where the most common mental health issues are anxiety and depression and in which stress plays a major underlying role.

At work, stress can turn us into jittery, anxious and resentful workers, unable to function as we really should; while at home, stress can provoke marital conflict and problems with children.

Often, we are able to notice the signs of stress in others much easier than we can in ourselves.

Yet even if we are only too well aware that we are suffering from stress, few of us really know how to manage stress. We simply lack the stress management and stress relief strategies for dealing with and releasing it.

And so alcohol, drugs, tranquillizers and anti-depressants are regularly turned to in an attempt to escape from and cope with the often devastating and frequently incapacitating effects of stress. However enticing, employing distractions and strategies such as these is simply ineffective when it comes to real stress treatment and stress relief; they are temporary at best and short sighted at worst.

Usually however, they merely serve to worsen and aggravate an already inflamed situation.

Yet there are other ways to deal with and manage stress that are really effective and far from harmful. Exercise and nutrition, meditation and yoga are all tried and true methods of stress management. (In fact, we recommend that everyone engages in some form of regular exercise.)

But for sheer effectiveness and rapidity of results, few things can match the power of self-hypnosis for stress management and stress treatment.

The reason for this is because hypnosis is capable of producing a wonderful, calm state that is so far from stress that it has been called ‘a state of grace’.

Indeed, self-hypnosis offers a method of completely releasing stress, providing a valuable way – through post-hypnotic suggestion – to manage stress and anxiety. When done correctly, it can provide potent and ongoing stress relief and stress treatment that lasts far beyond the actual sessions of self-hypnosis.

And the amazing thing is that practising self-hypnosis needn’t take forever.

Here in the UK, we teach people how to enter a deep trance state in a matter of seconds. Remaining in this wonderful, calm state of hypnosis for a few short minutes, they are able to let go of and free themselves from the harmful and potentially devastating effects of stress.

But learning self-hypnosis from a hypnotherapist is certainly not the only way. True, this is the easiest, most rapid and effective method of mastering the art of self-hypnosis since, correctly done, it is taught while actually in the trance state, but it is not the only way. A visit to your local book shop will produce a selection of good books that will take you through the process step by step.

One thing is sure: time and effort invested in learning and then practising some form of self-hypnosis brings real rewards when it comes to stress relief and stress management. It is an extremely potent method that enables you to manage stress and is perhaps the most effective stress treatment there is.

If stress is something you find yourself struggling with on a regular basis, self- hypnosis – together with good nutrition and moderate exercise – is the very best stress management and stress relief tool you could use.

Importance of Stress Management

Importance of Stress Management

Article by Mathieu McNab

Stress – if you feel it regularly, you are not alone. According to the American Psychological Association, as many as one-third of Americans experience extreme stress more often than not… and almost half of Americans have felt an increase in their stress levels since 2005. Work and money tend to be the primary cause for most, and current economical crisis is simply not helping. If you are among those of us wrestling with such stresses, may I suggest that developing a few good stress management techniques may be well worth your time!

Stress often contributes to a variety of problems in our lives from marital and family, to a host of health issues… whether we realize it or not. Hence stress management couldn’t be more important… for us, and those we love. Good stress management begins with identifying the sources of our stress, and understanding how it is we experience it. Everyone is different; what might stress one person may not be the same cause of stress for another.

There are some stress management techniques however, that are not so good. Many of these unhealthy coping tools often carry side effects and rarely give more than an allusion of real stress relief. So if, for example, we tend to eat when stressed, we should consider opting for healthier meals followed by a relaxing walk. If we tend to bottle up our feelings, it would be in our best interest to be communicating and interacting with family and friends regularly. Meditation is another effective stress management tool that has been proven to genuinely help reduce stress as well.

Most Americans simply work too hard and too much. While we cannot control everything about our work schedule however, it may be time to make any changes we can. Do we take all the vacation time we are allotted? If not, it is time to do so. Does our company offer any kind of stress management programs? We should use them! Are we given any personal days? We should take them! Additionally, we should look for ways to use our time better, so that we can manage our stress more effectively. We will be of no help to anyone if we become sick or overly irritable. But think how much more of life we would enjoy, and how much more of life would enjoy us, if we were not so stressed out all the time.

With that, stress will always be knocking at our door… and simply will not go away on its own. We can do nothing! But is that what we really want? I dare say that an ounce of good stress management will be worth its wait in gold… and the time we give to such practices will not be regretted!
